Pumpkin & Cauliflower Soup


I just made the yummiest soup in my Thermomix..

350g Pumpkin
350g Cauliflower
100g Bacon pieces
1 Brown Onion
1 clove garlic
2 tbsn Thermomix Vegetable Stock
500g water
Large dollop Sour Cream

1. Peel and quarter brown onion.
2. Place bacon, onion and garlic into TM bowl and turn onto speed 8 for 5 secs.
3. Place oil into bowl and sauté at Varoma temp for 1 min on speed 1.
4. Place all other ingredients (except for the Sour Cream)into bowl and cook at 100 degrees temp for approx 15 mins.
5. Turbo for 5-20 sec depending how chunky/creamy you like the constancy.
6. Serve with a large dollop of Sour Cream.

  1. Sounds delicious!! Do you have any idea of calories?

    • Jo, I had it for a main course and calculated out for 3 serves and got 225 calories without the Sour Cream. You could of course increase the serves and decrease the calories accordingly.

  2. This is by far the very best soup I’ve made! Thank you! You didn’t say how much oil. I used 35g of EVOO.

  3. I did Colleen. I normally have fresh chilli but tonight I didn’t so I used dried hot red chilli. Whacked in a good shake and it really gave a great zing!

  4. Do you make it with the skin and seeds of the pumpkin in it as well?
